Mrs. Lisa Jordan
This school year (2024-25) will be Mrs. Jordan's 13th year of teaching and her 12th group of fourth graders- WOW! She is looking forward to an exciting year with a brand new group of students! Mrs. Jordan was born and raised in Dallas, TX and moved to Utah to attend Utah State University where she met the love of her life. She graduated with a Dual Major K-6/ELED degree & Math Endorsement (magna cum laude) and has been married for over 10 years. She spent this summer building a deluxe chicken coop for her 4 new birds - Sunny, Goldy, Oreo and Jasmine! She has 4 adorable kids: James (7), Evan (5), Kate (3), & Emily (1). Her favorite color is anything BRIGHT and her greatest passion is helping others. She enjoys yoga, drawing/doodling, hiking, and singing. She also takes her very needy/loyal chiweenie "puppy" Toby on a walk every night. Mrs. Jordan's big wish is to drink chocolate milk every day and make Texas move closer to Utah.
"Teaching at Thomas Edison has been an absolute joy! This school is my dream workplace.
I love how involved the parents are and how the Thomas Edison "Team" works together.
Here's to new adventures every day!"

WHat is "OUR PEACEFUL POND" ALL ABOUT?
Our class theme this year is a PEACEFUL POND. I believe that school can be a JOYFUL place where kids can be kids and grow/learn while having FUN!
I have spent 200+ hrs becoming a certified social emotional learning facilitator & YOGA instructor through the Breathe for Change program. This means I care to develop the tools necessary to help students who may struggle with mental illness, extra emotional challenges, and various causes of negative feelings or stress. It is important to me to care for the WHOLE child and be aware of each student's individual needs. I work hard to provide an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive both academically and emotionally. I am so excited for your child to join our school of "fish" and learn to become a "flying fish" by May!
